  • Partner with research and science teams to translate cutting-edge research into well-scoped, market-ready product requirements.
  • Act as the voice and face for Verisk catastrophe models by engaging clients across the lifecycle, capturing both technical and business requirements, and ensuring they inform design through post-release change management.

  • Work with adjacent Verisk business units to identify integration and co-marketing opportunities for shared markets.
  • Represent the product organization in cross-functional planning so model development priorities are clearly understood across Software Development, Research, Sales, and Client Services.
  • Serve as a visible thought leadership voice through conference participation, white papers, industry publications, and client forums.
  • Monitor regulatory developments and scientific advances to inform forward-looking product strategy and public-facing commentary.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of direct professional experience with catastrophe models from the carrier, broker, reinsurer, or vendor side.
  • Deep understanding of how catastrophe model outputs are consumed and operationalized within insurance and reinsurance workflows.
  • Proven ability to translate complex technical topics into clear business narratives for diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated track record leading cross-functional initiatives and managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, including confidence engaging C-suite clients and internal executive stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline.

Benefits

  • Health Insurance
  • Retirement Plan
  • Disability benefits
  • Paid Time Off program

Desirable

  • Advanced degree or credential in a scientific, engineering, or quantitative discipline relevant to catastrophe modeling.
  • Experience across both the model-development side (vendor or research) and the model-consumption side (carrier, broker, or reinsurer).
  • Industry relationships and/or recognized presence in the catastrophe risk community, such as publications or speaking engagements.
