Product Manager, Structured Investments - Assistant Vice President / Vice President
Job Description
iCapital seeks a Product Manager for its Structured Investments platform at the AVP/VP level. The role involves conceiving, building, launching, and refining product initiatives across the platform while partnering with wealth management firms, financial advisors, issuers, wholesalers, and internal stakeholders to drive scale and efficiency. This position is based in New York, NY with a hybrid work arrangement, offering a salary range of USD 130,000 to 190,000 per year.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with wealth management firms, financial advisors, structured investments issuers, wholesalers, and internal teams to identify market gaps and propose innovative solutions addressing unmet needs in the structured investments space.
- Own and advance key product domains or strategic initiatives across the platform, ensuring solid execution, operational continuity, and alignment with business goals.
- Create detailed product requirements by drafting comprehensive user stories and acceptance criteria for engineering teams.
- Lead the end-to-end development lifecycle of features and workflows from concept to launch, including testing, iteration, and ongoing optimization.
- Navigate complex and ambiguous environments, proactively identifying gaps, proposing solutions, and aligning stakeholders across functions.
- Engage with business stakeholders to gather requirements, share updates, and align on product vision, prioritization, and execution plans.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project communication plans to ensure transparency and cross-team alignment among sales, marketing, engineering, operations, and other product lines.
- Investigate defects and implement tactical fixes for production issues impacting users.
- Monitor post-launch feature performance and continuously pursue opportunities for improvement.
- Utilize AI-enabled tools and workflows to enhance productivity, analytics, communication quality, and overall execution effectiveness.
- Foster a culture of excellence, ownership, and continuous learning within the team.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of product management experience, preferably within fintech, wealth management, capital markets, or related industries.
- Proven ability to independently drive complex initiatives with strong ownership and accountability.
- Willingness to become an expert in structured investments, understanding product intricacies and broader industry dynamics to inform decisions and lead product direction.
- Robust analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of solving complex and unfamiliar problems through innovative solutions.
- Comfort operating in fast-paced, evolving environments with shifting priorities and imperfect information.
- Strong organizational and prioritization capabilities to manage multiple initiatives concurrently while delivering high-quality results.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trust and alignment across technical and business teams.
- Customer-centric mindset, with experience engaging directly with clients and stakeholders to gather insights and feedback.
- Technical fluency and comfort collaborating with engineering teams to solve problems and deliver scalable solutions.
- Experience with agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Figma, analytics dashboards, Postman, and modern AI productivity tools.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to draft comprehensive user stories and acceptance criteria.
- A desire to grow into broader product leadership responsibilities within a rapidly scaling organization.
