Product Operations Manager, Research Product
Job Description
Anthropic, a San Francisco based public benefit corporation focused on advancing safe and beneficial AI, is seeking a Product Operations Manager for its Research Product. This hybrid role sits inside the Growth, Enterprise, and Verticals team, partnering with Product and Engineering to build, launch, and optimize frontier-model products while turning strategy into scalable delivery. The position offers a salary range of USD 240,000 to 260,000 per year and requires a bachelor’s degree.
Responsibilities
- Synthesize customer input and route feedback from strategic considerations to tactical actions
- Develop high-impact engagement points with partners across the product lifecycle
- Define user understanding with reliable metrics, dashboards, and testable hypotheses
- Create mechanisms to measure product success and impact through analytics dashboards and reports
- Streamline critical decision points for teams and affected partners
- Support team rhythms, rituals, and operating models such as offsites, monthly business reviews, and town halls
- Establish reliable run-of-business systems across products
- Improve common product development processes and tooling
- Foster effective collaboration among Product, Engineering, Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing
- Manage Early Access Programs and beta programs to validate hypotheses and improve products
- Maintain launch motions that enable confident releases and ongoing impact monitoring
- Provide cross-team roadmap visibility to drive alignment across functions
- Clarify to the organization what Product is working on and how it progresses
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in product operations, program management, or related operational roles within hyper-scaling tech environments
- Mission-aligned with building safe and beneficial AI systems
- Proven track record of creating processes and programs from 0 to 1 and scaling them thoughtfully
- Experience working deeply with AI and frontier models
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and the ability to influence without formal authority
- Robust analytical capabilities translating complex qualitative and quantitative data into actionable insights and recommendations
- Success managing complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives in fast-paced, ambiguous settings
- Experience with launch coordination, early access programs, or customer feedback loops
- A passion for iterative, user-driven product development
- Ability to bridge strategy and execution, align multiple teams, and navigate ambiguity by creating structure where needed

LOGISTICS
- Minimum education: Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience
- Required field of study: A field relevant to the role as demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience
- Minimum years of experience: Experience aligned with internal job level requirements
- Location-based hybrid policy: Staff are expected to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time; some roles may require more time onsite
