Senior Product Manager - Agentic Commerce
Job Description
Lead product strategy and platform development for agent-driven commerce at American Express Digital Labs, focusing on secure, scalable experiences that keep Card Members in control.
Responsibilities
- Own product strategy and platform development for Agentic Commerce at American Express
- Define the experiences, platform capabilities, and trust frameworks required to scale across partners and future use cases
- Develop a strong working command of emerging agentic commerce protocols, card payments infrastructure, and new interaction models
- Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and cross-functional teams to shape intuitive, delightful AI-agent-powered commerce journeys
- Extend American Express capabilities across authentication, authorization, identity, and risk for AI-powered commerce while preserving Card Member visibility and control over agent-initiated activity
- Define experiences and capabilities that deliver value for Card Members, merchants, partners, and the broader ecosystem using the American Express membership model, premium brand, and differentiated data assets
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in product management/development or a similar role
- Enthusiasm for exceptional products and services, with customer empathy, product intuition, and the ability to articulate product functionality
- Curiosity and strong drive to understand how systems work; ability to connect insights, spot opportunities, and advance innovation within a large company
- Highly organized self-starter with strong ownership and a demonstrated business track record
- Understanding of tech and product development processes, with the ability to communicate with and influence technical and non-technical partners
- Ability to reconcile competing needs across customers, stakeholders, and partners; make effective decisions and build buy-in
- Proven partnership with engineering and comfort discussing technical trade-offs; ability to speak both business and technical topics
- Detail oriented: identify key questions, evaluate how pieces interact, and assess product-wide impact
- Ability to recognize issues quickly and drive resolutions using creative, efficient problem solving
- Capacity to balance big-picture strategy with tactical execution
- Team player who can operate effectively in ambiguity; adaptable, accountable, and highly organized
- Excellent communication skills across cross-functional teams; ability to engage, influence, and align partners to drive collaboration
- Willingness to be creative within the bounds of a highly regulated financial services environment

- Salary range: USD 123,000 - 215,250 per year
