Job Description

This Senior Product Manager role leads the Avvance Consumer Checkout experience, a point-of-sale lending solution for consumers. The position owns product vision, strategy, roadmap, OKRs, and execution across the checkout journey, including partner-embedded integration through capabilities and APIs.

What You Will Own

  • Product vision, strategy, roadmap, and outcomes for the Avvance Consumer Checkout experience, balancing consumer needs, business objectives, partner requirements, regulatory requirements, and technology considerations.
  • A strong understanding of the point-of-sale lending journey, including application, decisioning touchpoints, loan option presentation and selection, disclosures, acceptance, and consumer communications.
  • Product outcomes and OKRs, translated into prioritized features, epics, and actionable delivery plans.
  • Cross-functional agile or scrum product direction, including backlog prioritization and close collaboration with Design and Technology across discovery, development, launch, and ongoing optimization.
  • Consumer experience improvement using customer research, behavioral analytics, funnel performance, experimentation, and other insights to reduce friction and improve conversion and customer outcomes.
  • Connected experiences across both U.S. Bank-owned and partner-embedded journeys, defining scalable capabilities and API requirements that enable partners to integrate Avvance into their checkout flows.
  • Technical fluency sufficient to understand APIs, services, data flows, system dependencies, technical trade-offs, and how front-end experiences connect to underlying platforms.
  • Collaboration with Experience Design, Technology, Legal, Compliance, Risk, Marketing, Analytics, Operations, and other Product teams within Avvance and across U.S. Bank to deliver connected customer experiences.
  • Proactive management of dependencies, risks, and trade-offs, driving decisions and alignment among stakeholders.
  • Product performance metric definition and monitoring, including analysis of customer and business data and conversion of findings into product priorities and measurable improvements.
  • Clear communication of product strategy, priorities, decisions, progress, and outcomes to stakeholders and senior leaders.

Required Qualifications

  • Five or more years of Product Management experience, or equivalent experience leading complex digital products and customer experiences.
  • Experience owning product strategy, roadmap, prioritization, and delivery for customer-facing digital products.
  • Experience leading an agile product delivery team and managing a product backlog from discovery through implementation and optimization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to use data and customer insights for product decisions.
  • Experience with digital checkout, consumer lending, payments, financial services, e-commerce, embedded finance, or similar transaction-oriented customer experiences.
  • Experience with consumer journeys covering application, eligibility or decisioning, presentation of financing options, disclosures, acceptance, and communications.
  • Experience defining or managing API-based products, partner integrations, embedded experiences, or platform capabilities.
  • Strong technical fluency with APIs, application architecture, system dependencies, data flows, and integration patterns.
  • Experience using customer research, behavioral analytics, funnel analysis, experimentation, and performance measurement to improve digital experiences.
  • Experience collaborating across Technology, Experience Design, Legal, Compliance, Risk, Marketing, Analytics, Operations, and Product teams in a complex or regulated environment.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, make informed trade-offs, influence stakeholders, and communicate effectively with technical teams, business partners, and senior leaders.

Location and Compensation

  • Location: Minneapolis, MN (onsite)
  • Salary: USD 126,820 - 149,200 per year
  • Minimum Experience: 5 years
