Job Description

The Senior Product Manager, Subscriber Acquisition at Warner Bros. Discovery (CNN Digital Products) leads the end-to-end subscriber funnel, from the initial visit to subscription, while steering paywall strategy, funnel optimization, and experimentation to drive growth. This onsite role is based in New York, NY, with a compensation range of USD 112,000 to 208,000 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Define and manage the end-to-end roadmap for subscriber acquisition and conversion, identifying high-impact opportunities across paywalls, landing experiences, and purchase flows, and translating them into clearly prioritized product requirements.
  • Oversee execution by drafting concise user stories, maintaining the backlog, and collaborating with engineering and design partners to implement features that boost conversion.
  • Lead a rigorous product discovery and experimentation program, focusing on paywall testing, pricing and packaging, messaging, and funnel optimization, in partnership with design, research, and analytics to iterate continuously.
  • Analyze behavior across the full funnel—registration, paywall, and checkout—to uncover friction points and opportunities to improve conversion rates and reduce drop-off.
  • Utilize qualitative funnel data and quantitative research to understand acquisition drivers and user intent, translating insights into actionable product strategy.
  • Define and own key performance indicators related to acquisition and funnel conversion.
  • Maintain alignment with cross-functional partners, including marketing, editorial, legal, and other product teams, by communicating roadmap priorities, experiment results, and performance insights.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of product management experience, with a strong preference for direct-to-consumer subscription or growth-focused roles.
  • Proven experience driving subscriber acquisition, paywall strategy, and conversion rate optimization.
  • Hands-on experience designing, running, and evaluating A/B tests, with a track record of shipping and iterating on growth initiatives based on results.
  • Experience optimizing the subscription funnel from landing pages through checkout in close partnership with marketing and analytics.
  • Strong product instincts across the full lifecycle (discovery, build, launch, and iteration) grounded in user research, data, and hypothesis-driven thinking.
  • Solid analytical skills and fluency with data such as funnel metrics, web analytics, and experimentation results to inform decisions.
  • History of collaborating with cross-functional teams to lead and execute complex initiatives.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to translate data into decisions and strategy.

Benefits

  • Health insurance coverage
  • An employee wellness program
  • Life and disability insurance
  • A retirement savings plan
