Senior Product Manager - Technical, Price Perception and Evaluation
Job Description
Based in Seattle, WA on site, Amazon.com Services LLC invites you to lead price perception and evaluation initiatives as a Senior Product Manager - Technical, Price Perception and Evaluation. You will shape the product vision and roadmap for reference pricing and savings experiences across Amazon stores worldwide, collaborating with engineering and data science teams to build scalable, high precision validation mechanisms and to improve price trust and accuracy for customers. This role sits within a cross functional environment that prioritizes customer value, data driven decision making, and collaboration across teams. The position carries a salary range of USD 151,200 to 204,600 per year and requires a bachelor’s degree plus at least two years of technical product management experience. Responsibilities
- Define the product vision and roadmap for reference pricing and savings experiences, outlining how customers interpret list prices, previous prices, typical prices, price history, and savings claims
- Own the product requirements for systems that determine when a reference price or savings message can be shown to customers
- Collaborate with engineering and data science teams to develop scalable, high‑precision validation mechanisms across retail and marketplace contexts
- Leverage customer research, product data, defect data, and external benchmarks to identify opportunities to strengthen price trust and price perception
- Translate complex pricing, policy, and regulatory requirements into clear product requirements and launch plans
- Make tradeoffs among customer clarity, coverage of options, operational complexity, and precision
- Lead global launches across multiple marketplaces, adapting requirements to local customer expectations and regulatory environments
- Partner with shopping experience teams to improve how price value is explained on detail pages, search results, cart, deals, and other surfaces
- Establish metrics, inspection mechanisms, and defect detection processes to keep savings experiences trustworthy after launch
- Prepare narratives, product requirements, launch documents, and leadership updates to align senior stakeholders and drive decisions
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience owning or driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with feature delivery and the tradeoffs of a product
- Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
- Experience managing technical products or online services
- Experience representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive level prioritization and planning
- 2+ years of technical product or program management experience
