Job Description

Join the North America and Central - Finished Vehicles Logistics team at Tesla as a Software Product Manager focused on building software products that put customers first. This role blends product strategy with hands-on execution: define and track KPIs, run user research to inform software design, and partner across Engineering, UX, Operations, and Business to drive work from inception through launch.

What you’ll do

  • Set product priorities across competing needs, balancing existing versus new customers, and choosing between features, architectural improvements, and operational excellence.
  • Define and measure success by establishing KPI sets and monitoring performance using SQL-powered Tableau dashboards, with the ability to analyze results and use metrics in decision-making.
  • Learn from users through user research and contribute to software design, with a focus on high reliability and responsiveness from both systems and user satisfaction perspectives.
  • Own delivery and outcomes by managing implementation and ongoing product success, including (re)defining requirements, sprint planning, and release management.
  • Partner on scalable architecture with Engineering to ensure solutions meet current needs and account for future growth scenarios.
  • Guide the product lifecycle from inception to launch, prioritizing the most impactful features.
  • Translate vision into execution by leading stakeholder discussions, converting direction into detailed requirements, user stories, and actionable tasks, then iterating with Engineering and collaborating cross-functionally with Business, internal users, and UX Design to drive product vision and strategy.

What you bring

  • Education and ability: a degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or equivalent experience with evidence of exceptional ability.
  • Analytics and quantitative strength: ability to use data and metrics to support assumptions and decisions, with proficiency in data analytics using SQL, Pandas, Tableau, and/or similar tools.
  • Cross-functional collaboration with teams including Engineering, UX, and Operations.
  • Customer insight to product impact: a proven track record of turning customer learnings into reports and product features customers love.
  • Technology development and product management practices, including working knowledge of best practices such as Agile and product management technologies.
  • Pragmatic delivery to drive improvements that get implemented and create value at Tesla.
  • Communication and leadership: strong leadership, organization, analytical ability, interpersonal skills, and communication.
