Sr. Product Manager

Lead the strategy, roadmap, and commercialization of Iteris hardware management software and services, covering device monitoring, remote configuration, diagnostics, OTA updates, and lifecycle service tiers, while shaping the hardware platform across sensors, edge compute, and connectivity.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the strategy, roadmap, and product requirements for device monitoring, remote configuration, diagnostics, health reporting, alerts, and OTA firmware and software update workflows
• Drive the go-to-market for management software and service tiers, collaborating with Sales and Marketing on positioning, total cost of ownership models, and launch plans
• Lead integration requirements across device firmware, cloud services, and customer-facing tools to deliver a unified monitoring and management experience
• Work with other Product Managers to ensure management software and services enable bundling and upsell or cross-sell across the Iteris portfolio
• Shape hardware product strategy and roadmap spanning sensors, edge compute, and connectivity, prioritizing manageability, reuse, and manufacturability
• Translate customer needs and business goals into platform requirements and hardware specifications (performance, power, environmental, mounting, networking, cybersecurity, compute, storage)
• Collaborate with hardware and software engineering to define interface contracts and software abstraction layers that support multi-product reuse
• Partner with engineering, operations, and supply chain on component selection, cost targets, reliability, test plans, and BOM optimization
• Contribute to hardware lifecycle management including revisions, end-of-life planning, backward compatibility, and migration strategies to minimize customer disruption
• Coordinate with Engineering, Quality, and Operations on certification plans and launch readiness gates

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Information Systems or related field
• MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred
• Five-plus years of product management experience with a proven track record of launching and managing products through their lifecycle
• Strong understanding of IoT technologies, including sensors, connectivity, cloud platforms, and data analytics
• Transportation technology experience preferred
• Experience with computer vision, artificial intelligence, and data analytics preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams and engage customers
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a data-driven decision-making approach
• Experience using JIRA and Confluence preferred
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum development processes and Product Owner roles
