Vice President, Finance Product Owner

The Vice President, Finance Product Owner is accountable for the Finance technology product management function, including governance and transformation delivery. This role leads a portfolio of complex Finance programs and initiatives aligned to Finance strategic objectives, with direct ownership of budgets, resources, and portfolio governance processes within the Finance technology landscape.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the Finance technology and product management strategy in support of Finance business objectives.
• Partner with Finance executives to identify opportunities for automation, process modernization, analytics, and technology enablement.
• Establish multi-year roadmaps spanning Finance products, platforms, and transformation initiatives.
• Sponsor large-scale initiatives focused on improving efficiency, controls, data quality, and user experience.
• Advise senior Finance leadership on technology capabilities, investment options, and transformation opportunities.
• Own the Finance technology and transformation portfolio, including intake, prioritization, governance, and investment planning.
• Chair Finance technology governance and steering committee forums.
• Develop and manage annual budgets for Finance technology, transformation, and product management activities.
• Establish standards for business cases, prioritization, benefit realization, and portfolio reporting.
• Balance investments and resources across Finance functions and business priorities.
• Monitor portfolio performance and ensure delivery of expected business outcomes.
• Lead cross-functional efforts to simplify, standardize, and automate Finance processes.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational effectiveness through technology, data, and workflow enhancements.
• Drive adoption of best practices across Finance processes and supporting technologies.
• Sponsor continuous improvement initiatives across multiple Finance functions.
• Serve as a strategic partner to Finance and Technology leaders.
• Influence investment priorities, resource allocation, and roadmap decisions.
• Lead teams of Directors, Product Owners, Program Managers, and business analysts.
• Build organizational capability within Finance product management and transformation disciplines.
• Drive alignment across Finance stakeholders regarding portfolio priorities and transformation objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.
• Minimum of 7+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to influence and collaborate across senior leadership teams.

Compensation

Base salary range: USD 160,700 - 241,000 per yearly
