Trading and Implementation Product Owner for ConnectWealth Managed Investments, defining platform strategy across Portfolio Construction, Trading and Implementation, with AI-enabled ownership across Wealth Management for US and international markets; onsite in Jersey City, NJ.

Responsibilities

• Set the product vision and strategy for next generation portfolio implementation and trade flow platforms, guiding the operating model and requirements as UMA products roll out across advisory and discretionary channels in the US and internationally.
• Lead discovery activities to identify solutions and weave findings into the product roadmap.
• Draft business requirements detailing functional, design, and regulatory controls in collaboration with stakeholders across business management, design, technology, operations, legal, and compliance.
• Document verifiable requirements using AI tools such as e.Cline and Claude, in Epic/Story format within JIRA.
• Facilitate backlog refinement with technology partners and business teams, leveraging AI-generated pull requests in Bitbucket and Claude.
• Maintain and prioritize the product backlog to support the strategic roadmap and value proposition.
• Collaborate with UAT teams to define acceptance criteria and support testing phases.
• Engage across design, development, testing, and implementation to ensure quality and timely delivery.
• Establish a framework to track key success metrics, including cost, features, functionality, risk posture, and reliability.
• Leverage AI to scale requirements articulation, discovery, and backlog refinement while preserving quality and regulatory rigor.
• Define and execute the Wealth Management platform strategy aligned to program goals and OKRs.
• Foster innovation and ongoing improvements to expand platform capabilities.
• Serve as the primary decision maker for trade-offs based on established considerations.
• Lead transformation of the operating model and platform to scale assets and retire legacy systems.
• Advance AI-driven strategy, operating model design, and ongoing platform enhancements.
• Collaborate with executive leadership, steering committees, and cross-functional teams to align business and technology goals.
• Manage stakeholder relationships and influence decisions to support development and delivery.
• Foster collaboration across functions and lines of business.
• Utilize AI to scale briefings and status updates for executives and steering committees.
• Oversee feature delivery and enhancements with emphasis on quality and regulatory compliance across integrated systems.
• Lead risk management and governance initiatives to meet regulatory and business requirements.
• Partner with Product Delivery to ensure timely end-to-end delivery.
• Use AI to maintain traceability of requirements, decisions, and delivery artifacts, surfacing gaps early in the lifecycle.

Requirements

• 4+ years of product management experience, ideally in wealth management or financial services.
• Proven track record managing end-to-end product lifecycles from concept to delivery.
• Strategic vision with strong execution capability and clear communication skills.
• Ability to lead and mentor cross-functional teams in a collaborative, innovative environment.
• Solid problem-solving and issue-resolution skills.
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience using JIRA.
• Data-driven decision making using analytics to drive improvements.
• Experience applying AI tools to accelerate product management workflows, including requirements documentation, discovery analysis, backlog management, and stakeholder communication, is highly desirable.
