The Associate Director, Technical Product Manager will own the roadmap and delivery of digital and AI capabilities for Cell Therapy Development, with a focus on Supply Chain systems that enable vein to vein orchestration.
Based in Los Angeles, this role directs the strategy and delivery of digital and AI applications for Cell Therapy Development, aligning with clinical and commercial milestones while driving cost efficiency and patient lead-time reduction.
Responsibilities
- Product Strategy & Vision: Define and evolve a multi‑year roadmap for digital and AI applications in Cell Therapy, ensuring alignment with milestones, cost-to-serve targets, and patient time-to-delivery objectives.
- Cross‑Functional Partnerships: Collaborate with Cell Therapy Operations (manufacturing and logistics), Patient Operations (case management, site coordination), and Commercial Operations (launch readiness, market expansion) to drive outcomes and adoption.
- User Experience Leadership: Champion intuitive experiences for schedulers, apheresis coordinators, manufacturing operators, quality reviewers, couriers, case managers, and health care professionals; advance human centered design, usability testing, and accessible interfaces for high‑stakes workflows.
- AI‑Driven Product Lifecycle: Apply AI and ML to accelerate requirement refinement, backlog grooming, test automation, release readiness, anomaly detection, and predictive capacity planning.
- HCP‑Facing Products: Lead design and delivery of digital tools for health care providers such as site portals, ordering and scheduling workflows, and status tracking, ensuring clarity, reliability, and integration with site systems.
- Backlog & Delivery Management: Maintain a prioritized backlog balancing new features, technical debt, reliability, and compliance; guide Agile teams with well-defined epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Engineering Partnership: Translate business problems into clear technical requirements; collaborate with engineering on architecture, APIs, data models, and workflow orchestration; balance performance, reliability, security, and time‑to‑value trade‑offs.
- Data & Analytics: Define canonical data models and event streams; enable operational dashboards, predictive ETA, capacity planning, and exception management while upholding privacy.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Supply Chain, or related field; advanced degree preferred; 7+ years in product management for digital platforms or applications.
- Experience with API integrations (REST/GraphQL), event streaming, workflow engines, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), and a working understanding of IoT sensors and courier integrations.
- Hands-on involvement with applying AI/ML to accelerate product lifecycle activities such as requirements development, test case creation and automation, anomaly detection, and release risk signals.
- Ability to lead Agile teams, define OKRs, manage backlogs, and deliver incremental value; strong vendor and contract management skills.
- Exceptional communication and influencing abilities with both business and IT leadership audiences.
- Data literacy with experience defining KPIs, analyzing performance, and making value‑risk decisions.
- Working knowledge of IAM, audit logging, encryption, and secure partner connectivity.

Preferred Skills
- Experience with vein-to-vein orchestration platforms, scheduling engines, courier/TMS integrations, and TE sensors.
- Proven track record delivering HCP-facing products or portals with high usability and reliable integration to site workflows.
- Experience integrating chain-of-identity/custody solutions, patient and HCP portals, and healthcare interoperability standards such as HL7 and FHIR.
- Regulatory knowledge including delivery of GxP systems with CSV/CSA, 21 CFR Part 11, Annex 11, and privacy regulations (HIPAA/GDPR).
