Job Description

Rippling is seeking a Director of Strategic Finance for CX and ProdOps in New York, NY (hybrid) with a salary range of USD 230,000 - 300,000 per year and 10+ years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Finance partnership with CX and ProdOps, acting as a strategic advisor to leaders in both teams.
  • Define stretch yet practical objectives for CX and ProdOps in collaboration with senior leadership, translating company priorities into measurable goals.
  • Deepen understanding of CX and ProdOps efficiency metrics and deliver precise financial forecasts that support a public-company cadence and inform executive and Board level decisions.
  • Assess strategic initiatives including service model variations, pricing structures, product launches, and AI capabilities through robust financial modeling and scenario planning.
  • Lead regular CX & ProdOps Strategic Finance discussions, covering monthly reviews, quarterly planning cycles, and board-ready materials.
  • Collaborate with Revenue Operations and Data & Analytics to build dashboards that monitor performance against plan and surface actionable insights for senior leaders.
  • Build and lead a high-performing finance team, uphold rigorous analytics, drive ownership and impact, and mentor emerging leaders.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in strategic finance, FP&A, investment banking, or private equity, including substantial experience at a high-growth technology company.
  • Advanced financial modeling and analytics capabilities, proven ownership of complex operating and headcount models.
  • In-depth knowledge of SaaS economics, including net revenue retention, gross revenue retention, churn drivers, expansion motions, and cost-to-serve.
  • Direct experience supporting Implementation, Technical Account Management, Support, or Product Operations is highly preferred.
  • Ability to distill large, complex datasets into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership.
  • Demonstrated capacity to operate at a senior level with substantial independence, managing multiple large workstreams and driving cross-functional outcomes through influence.
  • Proven people leadership, with experience building and developing high-performing teams and elevating analytics standards across the organization.
  • Strong communication and executive presence, able to present with credibility to C-suite and Board audiences.
  • Public-company experience or readiness is a plus.
  • Familiarity with financial planning tools such as Anaplan, and with Salesforce and SQL is beneficial.
