Product Manager
Job Description
Emerson is seeking a Product Manager in Elyria, OH to lead strategy and innovation for the Threading and Roll Grooving tool portfolio, guiding the lifecycle from concept to commercialization and collaborating across functions to drive growth and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end lifecycle for designated categories, from initial product introduction to eventual line rationalization.
- Develop and implement strategy for Pipe Tool offerings, evaluating new business opportunities.
- Foster growth of existing product lines through targeted new product development initiatives.
- Identify adjacent markets and expansion opportunities to broaden the portfolio reach.
- Leverage market research to understand customer needs and inform product development and messaging.
- Lead new product programs from concept through commercialization by coordinating across multiple disciplines.
- Assess competitive positioning and clearly articulate product value and differentiation.
- Prepare and present strategic plans and insights to senior leadership.
- Guide cross-functional teams to deliver strong operational and business outcomes.
- Participate in core portfolio activities such as customer visits, pricing, forecasting, sales enablement, category management, sourcing, and operational decision-making.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
- Academic emphasis in marketing, engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years in product management or equivalent marketing or project management experience.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with demonstrated financial acumen.
- Ability to quickly learn professional-grade tools and the underlying plumbing and mechanical principles of the products.
- Capacity to develop a deep understanding of customer needs and craft compelling value propositions and messaging.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Solid project management capabilities.
