Product Manager, STAAT Insights

The Product Manager for STAAT Insights will help shape and deliver UBS’s Insights product within the Smart Technologies and Advanced Analytics (STAAT) team. This role works closely with Financial Advisor teams to turn advisor-driven ideas into data and AI-enabled capabilities, including roadmap, requirements, and measures of success.

Role Overview

As a Product Owner on an Insights product, you will partner with Financial Advisor teams to understand their needs and opportunities for improvement. You will translate those inputs into clear product direction, collaborate with Data Science and Engineering to validate and implement solutions, and define functional requirements, user stories, and success metrics.

Key Responsibilities

• Work directly with Financial Advisor teams to understand their ideas, needs, challenges, and improvement opportunities.
• Own the intake, evaluation, and prioritization of advisor-driven ideas and feature requests, and translate them into a roadmap.
• Collaborate with Data Science and Engineering teams to validate concepts, assess feasibility, and define solutions.
• Translate business needs into functional requirements, user stories, and success metrics.

Required Qualifications

• Strong product mindset with the ability to identify customer needs and convert them into impactful solutions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to connect business and technical teams.
• Self-starter capability to navigate ambiguity and drive outcomes.
• Strong analytical skills, including the ability to work with data to validate ideas and uncover insights.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Ideally 5+ years of experience in Product Management, Business Analysis, Data Analytics, or a related role.
• Experience within Wealth Management, partnering directly with Financial Advisors and their teams.
• Demonstrated ability to create product roadmaps, prioritize competing requests, and deliver customer-centric solutions.
• Experience collaborating with business stakeholders, data science, and engineering; SQL and data analysis experience are a plus.
• Demonstrated passion for using data, analytics, and technology to solve business problems.

You will join the Smart Technologies and Advanced Analytics team (STAAT) in New York as a Product Owner for an Insights product. The team’s focus is to empower financial advisors with automated insights that unlock hidden value within UBS data. The team works closely with data engineers, data scientists, software developers, and business subject matter experts to build insights and platform capabilities.

Compensation and Benefits

• Indicative gross base salary range (full-time equivalent): USD 120,000 to USD 145,000 per year for New York, New York.
