Senior Product Manager, Project & Program Management, Emerging Technology
Job Description
Salesforce in New York, NY onsite offers a compelling opportunity for a Senior Product Manager focused on Project and Program Management within the Emerging Technology team. This role carries a salary range of USD 172,500 to 285,800 per year and partners with product managers, engineers, designers, and cross-functional teams to bring clarity to ambiguity, remove blockers, and enable 0-to-1 work to move at the pace required.
Salesforce also provides a comprehensive benefits package, including time off programs, medical, dental, vision, mental health support, paid parental leave, life and disability insurance, a 401(k) plan, and an employee stock purchase program.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate directly with product owners to plan, sequence, and execute initiatives; break complex problems into shippable milestones and manage scope and timelines to maintain momentum
- Own cross-functional coordination across engineering, design, data, security, and partner teams; surface dependencies early and remove blockers before they slow progress
- Help PMs navigate cross-organizational dynamics typical of Emerging Technology projects to prevent gaps and ensure nothing falls through the cracks
- Establish and facilitate project cadences such as standups, milestone reviews, sprint reviews, and stakeholder syncs; keep rituals efficient and meaningful
- Provide clear, concise status and risk updates for leadership while minimizing PM overhead; surface risks early and support trade-off decisions
- Coach product owners to strengthen execution, including communicating status, running effective meetings, and navigating large-company dynamics in 0-to-1 work
- Lead retrospectives, identify bottlenecks, and iterate on project management practices to accelerate delivery
Requirements
- 5 to 8 years of experience in program management, technical program management, or project-focused product management within enterprise technology
- Proven track record delivering complex, cross-functional initiatives across multiple teams and organizations, juggling dependencies and competing priorities while maintaining momentum
- Comfort operating in ambiguity; you move quickly, trim scope when needed, and prioritize outcomes over process without waiting for perfect information
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, translating complex project dynamics into clear updates for executives and contributors, and quickly earning trust with PMs, engineers, designers, and business partners
- Proficiency with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and the judgement to tailor frameworks to the team’s actual needs
- Familiarity with AI tools to accelerate work, remove bottlenecks, and help teams ship faster
- Hands-on experience with modern project management tools like Linear, with the ability to leverage tooling to improve velocity and visibility
