Job Description

McKesson offers a competitive compensation package with an annual bonus and long-term incentive opportunities, plus the flexibility of 100% telecommuting from anywhere in the U.S. This Sr. Product Manager role is based in Irving, TX with up to 15% travel, and is focused on owning the product roadmap, translating requirements into epics and stories, collaborating with UX and engineering, and driving adoption across McKesson technology segments.

Responsibilities

  • Own and review the product roadmap with key stakeholders and obtain agreement
  • Understand general clinical and oncology practice workflows to design features our customers value
  • Leverage your background in iKnowMed Orders to identify pain points and technical obstacles
  • Analyze business requirements to define the problem and partner with UX and engineering to deliver the optimal solution
  • Synthesize business requirements into epics and translate epics into stories to guide development teams
  • Prepare user stories to support iterative delivery of the product
  • Assess technical implications and decompose features into stories according to INVEST principles (Independent, Negotiable, Valuable, Estimable, Small, Testable)
  • Facilitate workshops and discussions with cross-functional teams to uncover customer pain points and generate solution ideas
  • Communicate upstream and downstream dependencies based on planned work
  • Determine product priorities, including new features, compliance requirements, and bug fixes
  • Support go-to-market strategy for the products
  • Expand product adoption through collaboration across all McKesson technology segments
  • Escalate high risk roadblocks to leadership
  • Mentor junior colleagues on product management best practices

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field and seven (7) years of experience in product management or a related occupation
  • Skilled in building EHRs and clinical tools
  • Regulatory awareness and compliance knowledge in healthcare
  • Skilled in iKnowMed EHR workflows including Insurance Authorization, Charge Capture, Clinical Content modules and how they interact
  • Understanding of authorization data flows across IKM EHR
  • Experience with PMS to IKM data exchange including Payers and Plans
  • Technical fluency of interfaces and FHIR services
  • Detailed understanding of DaVinci HTI-4 APIs
  • Understanding of CoverMyMeds USP Platform and integration with IKM
  • Data-driven user analytics experience including FullStory
  • Proficiency with JIRA and Confluence
  • Strong Agile process knowledge
  • Roadmap management experience
  • User-centric design focus

Technologies frequently involved include iKnowMed Orders, iKnowMed EHR, JIRA, Confluence, FHIR services, DaVinci HTI-4 APIs, CoverMyMeds USP Platform, and FullStory.
