Staff Product Manager, Sourcing & Job Board
Job Description
Xometry is hiring a Staff Product Manager to lead strategy and end-to-end product development for its Sourcing and Job Board systems. In this hybrid role in Lexington, KY, you will shape how Xometry matches manufacturing jobs to partners, improving both sourcing margin and marketplace health through better matching, stronger liquidity, and a more effective acceptance funnel.
As a senior individual contributor, you will own the roadmap and the product systems that connect partner capabilities with the right jobs. The work spans recommendation and matching logic, job acceptance conversion, experimentation, and technical product leadership across areas like partner performance, liquidity, and job quality.
What you will own
- Own the multi-year strategic vision and roadmap for Sourcing and the Job Board, aligning matching and marketplace-liquidity strategy with Xometry’s margin and growth objectives
- Drive the design and evolution of the matching and recommendation engine, including the priority-scheduling logic that determines which partners see offers and when
- Own the job acceptance funnel end to end, from increasing partner views of the Job Board to improving the share who accept, covering discovery, evaluation, and the accept, decline, and feedback loop from served offers to taken jobs
- Partner with Pricing and Machine Learning teams to influence dynamic pricing and matching strategy. You shape and inform pricing and model direction, without owning pricing
- Balance competing objectives across partner performance, margin, and quality, making principled tradeoffs such as widening job distribution to reduce time to take without degrading match quality or partner outcomes
- Establish and monitor marketplace health KPIs including sourcing margin, time to take, partners per job, eyes on jobs, served rate, and conversion, using deep analysis to find and prioritize opportunities to compress time-to-take and expand liquidity
- Ground decisions in behavioral data and continuous partner feedback, closing the loop between what the algorithm serves and how partners respond
- Drive adoption of new matching logic and Job Board capabilities through rigorous experimentation, thoughtful rollout, and clear partner communication
- Provide technical product leadership and craft mentorship to Product Managers across Partner Experience, raising the bar without direct management authority
- Serve as the primary product voice for Sourcing and the Job Board to executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders
What you bring
- 7+ years of progressive product management experience, with a strong track record in marketplaces, matching or recommendation systems, or marketplace optimization problems
- Direct experience building or optimizing two-sided marketplace mechanics such as supply-demand matching, liquidity, ranking, or recommendation systems, which is the core of the role
- Demonstrated success shipping complex, high-scale features in operational, marketplace, or B2B environments with measurable business impact
- Expert-level analytical and quantitative skills, including the ability to reason about algorithmic systems, interpret complex behavioral and financial data, and build rigorous business cases
- Ability to partner credibly with Machine Learning and Pricing teams: enough fluency in how models and pricing logic work to influence and direct them without owning them
- Exceptional written and verbal communication to align stakeholders from engineering teams through the executive level
- Proven ability to operate autonomously as a senior individual contributor, taking full ownership of a major product domain and driving both strategy and execution
- Nice to have: exposure to dynamic pricing, manufacturing or supply chain, or complex logistics tooling
Benefits
- 401(k) match
- Medical, dental, and vision insurance
- Life and disability insurance
- Generous paid time off including vacation, sick leave, floating and fixed holidays
- Maternity and bonding leave
- EAP
- Other wellbeing resources
