Technical Product Manager
Job Description
Bitsight is hiring a Technical Product Manager in Boston, MA (onsite) to help improve and scale Bitsight’s AI-supported engineering process. As AI tools increasingly write and review code, you’ll coordinate how work moves from ticket to shipped change, align priorities across engineering and AI subject matter experts, and help ensure the process is safe, consistent, and measurable.
You’ll work closely with engineering and AI SME teams to prioritize updates to workflows, define quality expectations for AI-generated code edits, and use data to identify bottlenecks across the SDLC. The goal is to bring developer feedback and evidence into the decisions and open items owned by the teams best positioned to act on them.
What you’ll do
- Partner with engineering and product leaders to align on priorities, team participation, and the changes needed to operationalize those priorities, translating product context into engineering discussions and developers’ feedback into product decisions.
- Work day to day with engineering teams on priorities and process, including how AI fits into existing workflows.
- Contribute to the AI SDLC roadmap by gathering engineering input and surfacing high-impact AI use cases across coding, review, testing, and documentation.
- Coordinate execution on the AI code reviewer by aligning teams and engineering owners on needs, priorities, delivery plans, and follow-up.
- Track work flow from ticket to merge request, identify gaps and bottlenecks, and help teams close them.
- Define and track quality expectations for AI-generated code edits, monitor outcomes, identify trends, and follow up with accountable owners.
- Analyze SDLC time allocation by pulling and interpreting metrics to pinpoint the biggest sources of delay and recommend fixes.
- Support adoption of AI tooling by collecting feedback, partnering with internal champions, and reporting on how teams use the tools.
- Collaborate with security, compliance, and architecture partners so AI adoption stays safe and consistent with policies.
- Help update Bitsight’s product process for an AI-driven SDLC, including documenting changes and rolling them out.
- Support the AI SME team with planning, prioritization, and coordinating SME work with engineering teams.
What you bring
- Experience as a software engineer, with production code shipped and the ability to hold your own in technical conversations.
- Familiarity with the SDLC from idea to ticket to code to release.
- Strong organizational and project management skills to manage many concurrent workstreams.
- Clear communication, with short, direct updates and comfort speaking with engineers, engineering leaders, and stakeholders.
- Data comfort, including the ability to pull and analyze metrics; SQL or basic analysis skills are a plus.
- A bias toward execution, turning priorities into plans, owners, and decisions while raising blockers early.
- Curiosity about how AI changes software development, plus willingness to learn trust and governance questions.
