Technical Product Owner

NovaSource Power is hiring a Technical Product Owner to serve as the single point of technical accountability across two platforms that process field and financial transactions. Based in Chandler, AZ (onsite), this role manages configuration of record, governs environments and releases, and ensures only approved changes reach production.

Key responsibilities

• Own configuration of record for ServiceMax and Salesforce, and assist with Business Central, covering objects, fields, rules, posting setups, permission models, and extensions.
• Approve production changes on either platform, maintaining the change record with impact assessment, test evidence, business approval, and a rollback plan.
• Establish and operate technical administration, including environments, updates, user and permission administration, extension management, and the technical relationship with vendors.
• Administer ServiceMax and Salesforce releases, permission sets, profiles, page layouts, validation rules, and mobile application configuration, with assistance for Business Central.
• Own the interface inventory between ServiceMax, Business Central, Zoho, and ADP, including the interface pattern, owner, monitoring, and replay procedure for each.
• Own escalation for integration failures and accept or reject root cause analysis from the support provider.
• Operate integration monitoring and replay once delivered under the billing transformation, and hold the vendor to detection targets.
• Control sandbox provisioning, refresh cadence, and third-party access for every environment.
• Maintain the release calendar aligned to the financial close calendar and field operating windows, approving or refusing deployment timing.
• Verify rollback readiness for every release and bulk load before approving promotion, including handling transactions created between deployment and rollback.
• Run regression checks on affected integrations and posting paths before each production promotion.
• Require each vendor to provide a tested recovery plan for both platforms and their integrations, treated as Tier 1 applications.
• Schedule, witness, and document restoration and failover testing, and independently validate outcomes instead of relying on vendor assertion.
• Review and approve vendor technical designs prior to build.
• Accept or reject vendor deliverables against defined acceptance criteria, including test evidence and documentation.
• Enforce sandbox-only development, refusing and reporting any changes made directly in production.
• Confirm vendor documentation is complete and stored in the NovaSource repository before accepting a deliverable.
• Act as technical acceptance authority for billing transformation milestones, alongside business acceptance from the business platform owner.
• Provide delivery vendors with environments, access, and platform context according to the program schedule.

Requirements

• 5+ years administering a Salesforce-based platform, with ServiceMax or an equivalent field service application.
• Working knowledge of Dynamics 365 Business Central configuration, or a committed path to certification within the first six months with vendor support.
• Demonstrated release and change management practice in a production environment handling financial transactions.
• Understanding of integration concepts, including interface design, error handling, replay, and monitoring.
• Ability to read a vendor technical design and identify what it does not address.
• Ability to work primarily from the Chandler, AZ office.

Preferred qualifications

• Salesforce Administrator or Advanced Administrator certification.

• Field service or asset management industry background.
