This role focuses on Salesforce Life Science Cloud activation, omnichannel orchestration, and AI-driven closed-loop engagement, with technical leadership spanning integrations, data orchestration, and delivery with global teams.

Role Focus

Act as a technical liaison to Global Product teams to extend the Global Core baseline for U.S. regulatory and market needs, while guiding feedback loops that shape the global roadmap.

Responsibilities

  • Lead technical implementation and optimization of Salesforce Life Science Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and Data Cloud.
  • Drive deployment of Agentforce to automate customer interactions and enhance field force productivity through autonomous agents.
  • Translate complex U.S. OBU business requirements (including sample management, patient services, and physician targeting) into scalable technical architectures and reference designs.
  • Design and execute the technical strategy for omnichannel orchestration across Salesforce Life Science Cloud and Marketing Cloud.
  • Use Data Cloud as the “intelligent brain” to support real-time, closed-loop engagement.
  • Ensure AI-driven recommendations (for example, Next Best Action) are presented to field reps in CRM and simultaneously trigger personalized digital journeys in Marketing Cloud.
  • Overhaul the integration landscape by moving from legacy middleware to real-time, API-first architectures.
  • Define and enforce standards for event-driven integrations and microservices.
  • Ensure data orchestration between Salesforce Data Cloud and internal and external oncology data sources, prioritizing data quality, lineage, and latency.
  • Serve as primary technical liaison to Global Product teams, extending the Global Core baseline for U.S. requirements.
  • Establish feedback loops to influence the global roadmap based on U.S. Oncology technical constraints and opportunities.
  • Lead and mentor a squad of engineers, supporting agile delivery, continuous learning, and technical excellence.
  • Set engineering standards, conduct design and code reviews, and drive DevSecOps practices including CI/CD, automated testing, and observability.
  • Manage technical deliverables from external implementation partners and Salesforce Professional Services to ensure alignment with quality and architecture expectations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of overall experience, preferably in CRM or related Customer Engagement processes.
  • Proven ability to influence and align senior stakeholders across Business and IT.
  • Ability to convert complex technical trade-offs into strategic business value and negotiate priorities between U.S. commercial leaders and Global IT product owners.
  • Expert-level understanding of closed-loop marketing and omnichannel orchestration.
  • Proven ability to architect solutions where CRM activities and digital triggers (email, web, social) are synchronized via a central AI/data engine.
  • Track record managing Veeva CRM or Salesforce Life Science Cloud suite.
  • Deep expertise in Salesforce Data Cloud and Marketing Cloud.
  • Mastery of RESTful API design, Event-Driven Architecture (EDA), and asynchronous messaging patterns using Kafka or MuleSoft.
  • Experience managing complex data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes, ensuring data integrity across clinical and commercial sources.
  • Proven experience leading Scrum/Kanban squads, managing technical debt, and driving DevSecOps culture (CI/CD pipelines, GitFlow, Automated Testing).
  • Hands-on experience or certifications in Salesforce Agentforce or building autonomous agents using Large Language Models (LLMs) and RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation).
  • Deep understanding of U.S. Oncology including HIPAA, claims data, EHR models, and regulatory considerations.
  • Proficiency in AWS or Azure, specifically serverless computing (Lambda/Functions) or data warehousing (Snowflake).
