Job Description
Senior Product Manager will lead product strategy, development, and execution across NCAA Digital products and platforms, including NCAA March Madness Live, onsite in Atlanta, GA, driving fan engagement, content discovery, live event consumption, and platform growth across connected TV and digital surfaces.
Responsibilities
- Define and drive product strategy, development, and execution for NCAA Digital offerings to deliver innovative experiences for college sports fans.
- Identify opportunities, articulate the product vision, and deliver high-impact initiatives across the NCAA Digital ecosystem, including NCAA March Madness Live and related championship experiences.
- Shape end-to-end fan experiences along the engagement journey, prioritizing content discovery, live event consumption, and platform growth.
- Lead products from concept to launch, balancing user needs, business goals, and technical feasibility.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, design, analytics, editorial, marketing, and business stakeholders.
- Prioritize and execute platform-specific work for connected TV ecosystems, maintaining experience consistency while leveraging platform capabilities, addressing technical constraints, certification requirements, and release processes.
- Oversee product operations during flagship live events, including the NCAA Tournament, ensuring a high-quality fan experience across platforms.
- Create and communicate product plans, roadmaps, feature requirements, launch readiness materials, and performance recaps to cross-functional teams and leadership.
- Mentor and support junior product managers and contribute to product team processes and best practices.
- Own the product strategy for assigned areas and translate fan needs, business priorities, research insights, analytics, and market trends into roadmaps with measurable outcomes.
- Partner with leadership and stakeholders to prioritize opportunities and align investments with company and NCAA goals; evaluate platform opportunities, device trends, and viewer behavior across Connected TV.
- leverage qualitative and quantitative data to identify opportunities, validate hypotheses, and measure impact; develop recommendations and business cases that boost engagement, retention, consumption, and overall performance.
- Lead relationships with internal development teams and external partners for assigned product areas.
- Own the end-to-end product lifecycle from concept through launch, optimization, and ongoing iteration.
- Produce clear product artifacts including briefs, functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, test plans, launch documentation, and operational readiness plans.
- Collaborate closely with Engineering and QA to ensure high-quality delivery and steady release cadence.
- Drive prioritization across competing initiatives while balancing fan experience, technical feasibility, operational considerations, timelines, and business impact.
- Analyze product performance and fan behavior to continuously optimize experiences and inform future roadmaps.
- Operate products during major live events and proactively identify opportunities for operational and product improvements.
- Mentor junior PMs and contribute to product team processes, standards, and best practices.
- Serve as a primary product partner and point of contact for assigned areas across internal and external stakeholder groups.
- Lead product reviews, roadmap discussions, launch planning, and post-event recaps with stakeholders and leadership.
- Foster strong collaboration across Product, Engineering, Design, Editorial, Operations, Research, Ad Sales, Marketing, and partner organizations.
- Communicate product strategy, priorities, risks, timelines, and results clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5+ years of professional experience in product management, digital media, streaming, sports, or related technology fields.
- Experience owning digital products or platform features across the full lifecycle from strategy and ideation through launch and optimization on mobile, connected TV, and/or digital platforms.
- Experience working with streaming or video experiences.
- Experience with connected TV platforms (Roku, Fire TV, Android TV, gaming consoles, smart TVs, etc.) is preferred but not required.
- Passion for sports, media, and fan-focused product experiences is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to leverage qualitative and quantitative data to drive decisions.
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally with Engineering, Design, Research, Operations, and business stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; experience creating product briefs, requirements, presentations, and executive updates.
- Experience operating in fast-paced live events or high-traffic digital environments is preferred.
- Proficiency with product and project management tools including JIRA, Confluence, Excel, PowerPoint, and analytics platforms.
- Interest in emerging technologies, including AI; preferred but not required.
