Job Description

In this role, you will set product direction for Everand and Fable and lead the roadmap from planning through delivery. You will partner with engineering, design, research, and data to build high-impact consumer experiences that help readers discover their next book.

Role Overview

As a Senior Product Manager, you will own the strategy, vision, and roadmap for your squad across Everand and Fable. The focus of the work is turning customer needs into shipped features, improving reader engagement, and delivering experiences that combine thoughtful design, editorial perspective, and machine learning.

Responsibilities

  • Own the strategy, vision, and roadmap for the squad, aligning work across Everand and Fable.
  • Lead a cross-functional squad and collaborate with engineering, design, research, and data to translate the roadmap into delivered capabilities.
  • Manage investment strategy by balancing large swing investments with continuous experimentation to improve key engagement metrics.
  • Use qualitative and quantitative inputs from partners to guide decisions and prioritization.
  • Work closely with data science and engineering on recommendation, ranking, and search systems, making product tradeoffs related to relevance and quality.
  • Create reader experiences that integrate joyful design, editorial insight, and algorithmic approaches to support discovery of new reads.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of product management experience on consumer products at scale.
  • Experience with native mobile apps and subscriptions is a plus.
  • A proven record of translating major pain points into product strategy and defining an opinionated roadmap for your domain.
  • Fluency partnering with engineers and data scientists on experiences that use Machine Learning (including recommendations, search, and ranking systems).
  • Strong research capability across quantitative methods (for example A/B testing and data analytics) and qualitative methods (for example user testing and interviews).
  • Strong product sense and an eye for consumer experiences that feel effortless and delightful.
  • Exceptional cross-functional collaboration and communication, with clear writing and crisp prioritization.
  • Passion for books and reading.

Compensation

USD 142,000 - 221,500 per year
