Senior Product Manager II, Notifications & Communications Platform
Job Description
Compass offers an on-site Senior Product Manager II role in Boston, MA with a competitive annual salary range of USD 166,400 to 184,900. This position centers on the vision and execution of the Notifications & Communications Platform, owning the high-volume email and push notification architecture and governance across Compass product teams.
Responsibilities
- Define and drive the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Notifications & Communications Platform, balancing short-term impact with long-term evolution.
- Scale the platform to empower hundreds of thousands of real estate agents across thousands of independent franchise brokerages to self-manage promotional email campaigns from within the platform using native tools.
- Serve as the internal subject matter expert on email deliverability, translating industry changes into platform capabilities and prioritizing them across roadmaps.
- Collaborate with our Email Service Provider to build and manage tooling that monitors domain health and sender analytics to maximize inbox deliverability for both system-generated and agent-generated communications.
- Design and implement scalable notification settings and preference centers that give agents and consumers granular control over their communication experience.
- Work closely with Engineering, UX Design, and cross-functional business teams to make data-informed trade-offs between scope, quality, and speed.
Requirements
- 6+ years of product management experience building and launching software products, including time spent owning foundational platform tools and services.
- 2+ years specifically focused on email and push notifications, communications platforms, and/or email infrastructure.
- Extensive experience with ESPs and high-volume email marketing platforms (for example, Mailgun, SendGrid, Mailchimp, Brevo). Nice to have: experience with high-volume voice and SMS platforms (e.g., Twilio, Sinch) and related compliance standards.
- Expert knowledge of deliverability best practices, marketing regulatory compliance, authentication standards (SPF, DKIM, DMARC), and domain reputation management.
- Ability to translate complex technical constraints into clear product strategies for executive stakeholders and non-technical audiences.
- Strong collaboration skills with Engineering and UX Design teams.
- Clear verbal and written communication that conveys ideas with confidence.
- Ability to influence cross-functional and executive stakeholders without formal authority.
