Assistant, Digital Product Operations
Job Description
Williams-Sonoma, Inc. is looking for an Assistant, Digital Product Operations to support day-to-day digital merchandising for the furniture category. This onsite role in San Francisco, CA will help power product page creation, performance monitoring, and ongoing experience improvements across Pottery Barn Kids, Pottery Barn Teen, and Dormify.
What you’ll do
- Manage SKU creation and generate product pages within the designated category for seasonal launches.
- Own testing in partnership with Site Merchandising and Creative to ensure accuracy.
- Support on-time launch delivery through calendar planning, workflow management, and prioritization.
- Maintain the product page playbook for your category, including basket-building, image/video strategy, structure, and UX/UI across desktop, mobile, and app.
- Ensure execution adheres to the playbook and partner with Site Merchandising and Creative on changes.
- Stay close to customer needs and category performance by tracking category trends, competitive activity, business performance, and eCommerce best practices to inform recommendations and execution.
- Assist with weekly product page performance reporting using analytics and data.
- Monitor key product page metrics such as traffic, conversion funnel, product finding behavior, basket building, product recommendations, channel performance, and promotional performance.
- Develop recaps and actionable recommendations for the Manager, escalating risks and opportunities as needed.
- Champion the customer product page experience by executing optimizations that reduce friction and improve intuitiveness.
- Execute strategies that incorporate storytelling and brand-building moments into the purchase journey without adding friction.
- Participate in weekly site testing, triage ad hoc issues, and perform maintenance updates.
- Partner with UX/Product and Technology to launch new functionality, tools, and workflows.
- Own all activities within the WCM platform, including site builds and technology enhancements.
- Contribute to a collaborative, accountable team environment focused on customer-first execution, accuracy, agility, and continuous improvement.
- Build strong working relationships across Merchandising, Site Merchandising, Creative, Analytics, Technology, and Operations to support alignment and flawless execution.
What you bring
- 1–2 years of eCommerce merchandising or operations experience required.
- BA/BS degree required.
- Advanced Excel skills required; strong PowerPoint and business recap skills preferred.
- Basic web analytics experience required; experience using Adobe Analytics highly preferred.
- Experience using web content management, eCommerce, or site merchandising systems preferred.
- Basic understanding of site merchandising, customer journey optimization, product discovery, promotions, and digital storytelling.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, organization, and project management skills.
- Comfort with AI and a desire to continually search for workflow efficiency and optimization.
- Customer-first mindset and passion for eCommerce, product discovery, and evolving consumer behavior.
- Highly detail-oriented with the ability to connect daily execution to broader category and customer experience goals.
- Practical problem-solving approach, including identifying opportunities, removing roadblocks, and driving continuous improvement.
- Good communicator willing to share a point of view.

Compensation and location
- Location: San Francisco, CA (onsite)
- Pay: USD 29–34 per hour
