Job Description

Senior Digital/Technical Product Manager for USAA's ISCO Digital and Design Team in Plano, TX (onsite), focused on end-to-end member experiences in the Investment business.

Responsibilities

  • Independently applies digital and technology research, business and market intelligence, and data-driven insights to identify opportunities, propose solutions, develop and maintain roadmaps, and drive performance improvements.
  • Converts digital or technology opportunities (customer needs and wants and other inputs) into initiatives defined by requirements, epics, and features, and leads the execution strategy.
  • Guides intricate digital/tech product and experience opportunities from concept through market validation by partnering with stakeholders and SMEs across Business, UX, Technology, Ops, Marketing, and more.
  • Champions the creation of business case artifacts and hypotheses to scope and prioritize work.
  • Regularly applies advanced data-driven problem solving and analytical rigor to assess and report product and experience performance against KPIs and KRIs.
  • Produces actionable insights using diverse tools to identify opportunities that inform digital or technology product and experience improvements.
  • Helps steer cross-functional product teams and relationships to discover and build new Digital or Technology products, experiences, and features, coordinating with stakeholders and organizational leaders to align development with strategic priorities.
  • Creates persuasive presentations and standard communications materials to convey complex concepts to diverse audiences, including senior leadership.
  • Undertakes internal and external research and situational analysis to apply industry best practices and trends to boost effectiveness of digital or technology products.
  • Expands big-picture thinking and drives clarity among team members and stakeholders.
  • Maintains deep knowledge of the Business, Technology, UX, and relevant processes, with an academic understanding of Product Management.
  • Serves as a resource for team members and supports onboarding of new employees.
  • Ensures risks associated with business activities are identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in line with risk and compliance policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or 4 years of relevant education and/or experience.
  • 6 years of Digital/Technology Product Management experience, including Strategy/Planning, Innovation, User Experience, Process Engineering, Analytics, and/or Research/Testing.
  • Proven ability to develop, influence, present, and communicate complex concepts to cross-functional teams, non-technical users, and leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in an Agile, Lean Product Development and Lean Portfolio Management environment.
  • Knowledge of digital and technology strategy and delivery related to roadmap development, journey mapping, competitive analysis and research, and situation analysis methods.
  • Knowledge of Experience Design concepts and Human Centered Design concepts as they apply to digital strategy and delivery, including roadmaps, journey mapping, and research methods.

What Sets You Apart

  • US military experience through military service or a military spouse/domestic partner
  • 5+ years of digital experience in the investment management or brokerage industry
  • Direct hands-on experience with virtual assistant, IVR, chat, and other communication platforms and experience developments
  • Deep expertise in digital servicing for brokerage and managed money accounts
  • Knowledge of developing industry trends in the Investment space
  • Expertise in product ownership for digital execution, business requirements development, digital process understanding, customer/member research, and cross-functional collaboration

Compensation Range

  • The salary range for this position is: $114,080 - $218,030

  • USAA uses market data to determine salary ranges to stay competitive. Offers are within the stated range based on experience and market data for the position. The final salary may vary by location.
