Product Manager Digital
Job Description
Academy Sports + Outdoors is hiring a Digital Product Manager onsite in Katy, TX to help drive sales and profitability for Academy.com and the overall business. In this role, you’ll shape the digital experience through a product roadmap, measurable outcomes, and close collaboration across product, technology, UX, delivery partners, QA, and analytics to deliver value for customers across devices.
Responsibilities
- Drive sales and profitability outcomes for Academy.com and Academy Sports + Outdoors Overall Business.
- Own and manage the product roadmap, grounded in customer needs, product understanding, and the competitive landscape.
- Define, design, and lead development and ongoing management of digital experience features and functionality.
- Facilitate cross-functional alignment by partnering with key stakeholders from the business and information technology to deliver results.
- Define, benchmark, and track KPIs to support business case development and prioritization.
- Collaborate with other product managers to improve interdependent platform components.
- Balance quick wins with platform investments to maximize impact in the least amount of time, while maintaining the roadmap.
- Continuously monitor and report on KPIs to identify opportunities to innovate and improve.
- Partner with UX to ideate and deliver site experience improvements, contribute to A/B testing conversations, and ensure learning translates into shipped features.
- Act as a champion for enhancing the multi-device user experience, including identifying impacts and capabilities from new mobile OS/platform releases.
- Evaluate new solution offerings, including participation in a vendor evaluation matrix and selection.
- Write user stories and maintain a prioritized backlog aligned to roadmaps and business objectives.
- Work with delivery partners to ensure continuous delivery of customer value, including defining timing.
- Partner with Quality assurance teams and User Acceptance Testers to confirm delivery meets business objectives and launch criteria.
- Perform pre- and post-launch analysis to measure and report product performance metrics.
- Use critical thinking to support decisions that improve outcomes for customers and the business.
- Support the team by being collaborative and proactive.
- Develop a thorough understanding of Academy policies, procedures, and safety rules.

- Experience with JIRA or similar tools preferred but not required.

Minimum Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in business management, computer science, information systems, or another closely related field (or equivalent experience).
