Senior Product Manager, Consumer Growth & Fan Engagement
Job Description
Minute Media is seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead consumer growth and fan engagement across its portfolio of sports properties, including Sports Illustrated and FanSided. You’ll own the strategy for fan identity, personalization, and AI-enabled experimentation to deepen connections with fans and drive engagement and revenue. The role is based in New York, NY with a hybrid work arrangement.
Compensation
USD 135,000 - 145,000 per year
Responsibilities
- Lead the product strategy and roadmap for fan engagement across the US sports media portfolio, guiding experiences that foster community, participation, personalization, gamification, and other interactive formats to deepen fan relationships and boost audience growth, engagement, and revenue.
- Own fan identity, audience segmentation, personalization, and registration initiatives to strengthen direct relationships with fans and drive engagement, conversion, and long-term value.
- Cultivate a culture of experimentation with A/B testing, rapid prototyping, cohort analysis, and ongoing optimization of fan experiences.
- Apply AI to differentiate fan experiences while leveraging AI-native workflows, agents, and automation to accelerate product discovery, vendor evaluation, and execution.
- Collaborate with Business Development, Revenue, Editorial, Audience Development, and Marketing to evaluate and launch strategic partnerships that create differentiated fan experiences and unlock new audience and monetization opportunities.
- Identify, evaluate, and integrate third-party technologies and vendors (interactive platforms, gaming providers, AI tools, data and identity platforms, and audience technologies), owning build-versus-buy decisions as appropriate.
- Define success metrics and KPIs, make data-driven decisions, and measure impact from hypothesis through launch, experimentation, and optimization.
- Translate strategic opportunities into actionable roadmaps, product requirements, experiments, and execution plans that deliver measurable business outcomes.
- Collaborate closely with Product, Design, Editorial, Audience Development, Growth, Data, Revenue, Marketing, and Engineering teams to successfully launch and scale new consumer experiences.
Requirements
- 5+ years of product management experience building consumer-facing sports products, with exposure to sports media, publishing, fantasy sports, betting, fan engagement, or community-driven experiences.
- Deep knowledge of US sports and an understanding of how fans discover, engage with, and deepen their connection to teams, athletes, creators, and communities over time.
- Experience owning products or features that drove measurable growth in engagement, retention, personalization, audience development, monetization, or customer lifetime value.
- Experience building or scaling community, participation, prediction, loyalty, gamification, or other fan engagement experiences.
- Hands-on experience building personalization, fan identity, audience segmentation, or first-party data products.
- Strong experimentation mindset, leveraging data, customer insights, testing, and AI-enabled workflows to accelerate product discovery, decision-making, and execution.
- Experience driving initiatives independently from concept through launch and optimization in cross-functional environments.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders across Product, Editorial, Audience Development, Growth, Revenue, Marketing, Design, Data, and Engineering teams.
- Analytical and experimentation mindset, using data, customer insights, testing, and AI-enabled workflows to guide product discovery and execution in technical environments.
