Lead Product Manager
Job Description
The Lead Product Manager role oversees the development and execution of product concepts, designs, and enhancements across one or more functional areas. The position partners with end users and stakeholders to build business cases, establish KPIs, and launch product capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Develops and leads product strategy for one or more functional areas, including defining vision for assigned projects, conducting market research, planning, designing concepts and user cases, and completing feasibility analyses.
- Creates business cases for product ideas and coordinates systems and solutions across multiple products and projects.
- Collects, organizes, analyzes, and documents business requirements related to products and services offered by competitors to identify market needs and user pain points for product solution development.
- Partners with cross-functional teams to design, specify, document, prioritize, and execute product vision, including aligning key stakeholders and management.
- Manages product launch materials, including user documentation, marketing collateral, and product demonstrations.
- Measures and reports product performance and quality, and continuously optimizes the customer experience.
- Conducts periodic visits to field locations, trade shows, and technical conferences to gather market intelligence and customer feedback.
- Provides guidance, coaching, and feedback to junior product managers.
Requirements
- Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline.
- Generally requires 8+ years of experience in a related field, or MS/MA with generally 5+ years of experience in a related field.
- Certification is required in some areas.

Work Environment
- Works in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
- Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position, with frequent opportunities to move about.
- On rare occasions, may need to move or lift light articles.
- Overnight travel is typically required at 5% to 20% of the time.
