Product Manager, Vice President - CIB Markets Technology
Job Description
Based onsite in Jersey City, NJ, this Vice President level Product Manager will own the end-to-end delivery of the MDL platform capabilities for CIB Markets. You will drive AI enabled data platform initiatives and serve as the voice of the customer to translate user outcomes into actionable product requirements. The role offers a salary range of USD 99,750 to 150,000 per year.
Responsibilities
- Shape and advocate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for assigned MDL capabilities, ensuring alignment with business goals and the platform’s move toward a data mesh and AI ecosystem.
- Act as a hands-on product leader who moves from strategy to execution, crafting direction while building prototypes and proofs-of-concept to validate user needs, demonstrate business value, and reduce production risk.
- Define requirements, acceptance criteria, and deliverables by working backward from customer outcomes, covering discovery through launch and post-release measurement.
- Own and prioritize the product backlog; define scope and milestones in partnership with engineering and delivery, translating priorities into clear, outcome-driven work.
- Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, business analysts, and senior stakeholders to define scope, confirm success criteria, and align across cross-functional teams.
- Lead product management for AI powered capabilities including LLM based tools, agentic workflows, and conversational analytics from concept to production.
- Define and monitor KPIs and adoption metrics; use data to continuously re-evaluate priorities and maximize platform impact.
- Identify and mitigate risks, dependencies, and impediments proactively, escalating early and resolving quickly.
- Support successful launches with documentation, training, and stakeholder communications.
Requirements
- Proven track record leading product management for data platforms or technical software at scale; acts as the senior product voice in cross-functional settings.
- Strong customer voice — represents end user needs with conviction and distinguishes requested asks from actual needs.
- Expertise in discovery and prioritization frameworks; working backwards methodology experience preferred. Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive decisions in ambiguous, high-pressure environments.
- Exceptional communication — makes complex topics legible for diverse audiences, from engineers to MD-level business partners.
- Hands-on experience with AWS and Databricks required; Snowflake a plus. Experience managing AI/ML products in production, including LLMs, agentic systems, or data-driven automation.
- Technical depth in data environments; Python and/or PySpark familiarity is a plus.
- CIB Markets domain knowledge — understanding of front office, trading, and markets workflows; familiarity with quant or market data consumption patterns is a strong plus.
