Job Description
Amazon.com Services LLC seeks a Senior Product Manager Technical, Traffic Engineering to shape how customers experience the platform when connectivity is limited. The role centers on traffic management, resilience, and cross-functional leadership to sustain core functionality during degraded conditions. This onsite, Seattle-based position carries a salary range of USD 151,200 to 204,600 per year and requires a bachelor’s degree.
Responsibilities
- Define and drive the product vision for degraded customer experiences across the platform when connectivity is constrained.
- Establish frameworks to categorize traffic, set priorities, and route requests intelligently to preserve experience under limited conditions.
- Partner with engineering teams to design scalable solutions that maintain service quality during network constraints.
- Own the end-to-end customer experience, balancing technical feasibility with user satisfaction.
- Design and implement intelligent fallback mechanisms that preserve core functionality within resource limits.
- Define success metrics and monitoring strategies to quantify customer impact during degraded experiences.
- Lead the development of technical roadmaps for traffic management systems.
- Collaborate with engineering teams on system design and performance optimization.
- Guide cross-functional initiatives spanning multiple engineering groups and experience owners.
- Influence and align senior leadership on strategic priorities for traffic management and customer experience.
- Present complex technical trade-offs clearly to executive audiences.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree.
- Experience owning or driving roadmap strategy and definition.
- Experience delivering features and evaluating product tradeoffs.
- Experience contributing to engineering discussions on technology decisions and product strategy.
- Experience managing technical products or online services.
- Experience advocating for a range of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning.

Preferred Qualifications
