Job Description

A senior product leadership position overseeing Digital Channels Middleware Platforms at JPMorganChase, onsite in Jersey City, NJ. The Vice President Product Manager drives end-to-end product lifecycles, represents the voice of the customer, and prioritizes platform-first capabilities to deliver scalable middleware solutions in payments and related domains. Salary range: USD 122,550 to 201,000 annually.

Responsibilities

  • Formulates a strategic product vision and roadmap that delivers tangible value to customers.
  • Leads discovery efforts and market research to identify customer solutions and translate them into the product backlog.
  • Maintains and evolves the product backlog to support the overall strategic roadmap and value proposition.
  • Establishes a measurement framework and tracks key metrics including cost, feature set, risk posture, and reliability.
  • Collaborates with fellow product managers to uncover platform product opportunities through user research and discovery that reflect market needs.
  • Assesses upstream and downstream implications of new platform features on the overall product experience.
  • Maintains a forward-looking backlog and publishes quarterly roadmaps and summaries to align with strategic goals; writes requirements, epics, and user stories to support development.
  • Oversees end-to-end product delivery processes, including intake, dependency management, release planning, product operationalization, feasibility decisions, and performance reporting; identifies opportunities to improve efficiencies and coordination.
  • Partners with engineering and architecture to drive solution design with a platform and capability-first mindset while developing products.
  • Coordinates with cross-functional stakeholders to manage timelines and dependencies, surfaces blockers and risks timely, and ensures controls, risk, and compliance requirements are effectively managed.
  • Analyzes product and platform metrics to influence the roadmap; prepares presentations and documentation, communicates with senior leadership, and promotes features aligned with strategic goals.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in product management or a related domain.
  • Advanced knowledge of the product development lifecycle, design practices, and data analytics.
  • Proven ability to lead end-to-end product lifecycle activities from discovery through ideation, strategic development, requirements definition, and value management.
  • Experience totaling at least 5 years in product management, including platform product management.
  • Demonstrated success in maintaining and prioritizing backlogs, with the ability to write clear requirements, epics, and user stories.
  • Strong expertise in data analytics and backlog prioritization driven by data insights.
  • Proactive, autonomous workstyle with the ability to operate across functional teams.
  • Excellent critical thinking, problem solving, analytical abilities, and communication skills.
  • Adaptable to shifting priorities and capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced, results-focused environment; customer-focused with action-oriented insight.
  • Proven stakeholder management across product, technology, agility, design, and data teams to develop robust delivery plans within an agile framework.
