Product Operations Manager - Merchant Platform

TikTok Local Services is seeking a Product Operations Manager for its Merchant Platform in Los Angeles, onsite. This role centers on merchant acquisition, operations mapping, recruitment, GTM strategy, and data-driven optimization to expand the marketplace’s merchant base and product variety. The position carries a salary range of USD 94,240 to 173,280 per year and requires a bachelor’s degree plus at least five years of product operation experience in a global context.

Responsibilities

• Develop operations and GTM strategies aligned with platform capabilities and business needs around merchant acquisition and order volume.
• Collaborate with product and regional business development teams to map merchant operations, segmentation, and profiling.
• Define current-stage merchant recruitment targets and design recruitment plans.
• Leverage product and market insights to set growth and recruitment targets, crafting operational approaches to boost merchant engagement and diversify marketplace offerings.
• Apply deep knowledge of search and recommendation systems, partnering with product and traffic teams to create a merchandise incubation mechanism that accelerates turnover of merchant-side products.
• Establish a data monitoring and performance evaluation framework for merchant and product operations.
• Continuously analyze merchant operations, product variety, and competitiveness to inform improvements.
• Identify data-driven issues and refine strategies and product optimizations accordingly.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least five years of experience in product operations in a global context.
• Fluency in English.

Preferred Qualifications

• More than five years of local service, ecommerce, or O2O operation/product operation experience, with experience in merchant product and merchant operations and strong strategic/analytical skills.
• Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration capabilities.
• Excellent communication, empathy, and patience.
