Product Operations Manager (LLM)
Job Description
This role leads product operations for TikTok's Minor Safety LLM program, guiding model strategy, data production, and the adoption of scalable LLM tools.
Responsibilities
- Own model strategy and operations for TikTok Minor Safety, collaborating with cross functional teams across the end-to-end process of design, optimization, training, and evaluation. Identify performance gaps and model vulnerabilities, proposing actions to continually improve quality.
- Manage the full data production lifecycle, including defining dataset standards, conducting model evaluations, and ensuring high-quality data delivery.
- Explore and adopt the latest Large Language Model tools to optimize data production workflows, boosting efficiency and scalability. Track industry trends to build smarter data systems.
- Research emerging model training methodologies from academia and industry, diagnose weaknesses in training data, and propose innovative solutions to improve data generalization, production efficiency, and coverage.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or above in Computer Science, English, Statistics, Philosophy, or related fields.
- Solid foundational understanding of machine learning, including Large Language Models and Transformer architectures.
- Strong project management and operational skills with experience in end-to-end project workflows; ability to collaborate efficiently in cross-functional teams and communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience in Trust & Safety, content moderation, or familiarity with content safety compliance requirements is a strong plus.
- Hands-on experience in data analysis or model optimization is preferred.
